I am in California...North America.
I was born in the Nelson Hospital that was, in Wimbledon Chase ☺I am from the United kingdom south east london
Haahahah I remember when the nudist beach first opened there a couple of lads where I worked went, expecting to goggle at nude nubile beauties. They were most disappointed to find it was only a tiny few out of shape aged wrinklies there. I doubt you are old enough to remember that. It was a chuckleI live right on the south coast of England, in a city that has often been described as a mini-London: Brighton. It has a risque reputation - probably deserved - and was the sort of place in decades past where unmarried couples would head to for a weekend of illicit passion! Now it hosts the annual Brighton Gay Pride festival, and, every June, the naked bike ride through town (I kid you not!).
I've never really lived anywhere else; Brighton is not the sort of place people tend to leave, as there's always so much going on. Plus, I don't think I could live somewhere that wasn't on the coast: as it is, the English Channel and "award winning" beaches are just five minutes walk from my front door...
Geographically, we are in Europe. Before it was flooded, Doggerland would have connected us to Germany, but I expect you know that already ☺Don't know what "continent" Britain counts as. Is there a name for us?
I'm English and live in Wales.
Lol, and they are lumped with us, whether they like it or not hahahYou're lumped in with Europe, whether you like it or not.OMG
I agree we are indeed European - and none of us know what we will be in any future lives so no point being 'ist' about who and what others are, is there? Lol.We're most definitely European. We're part of the EU~ (Hopefully we'll stay that way...)
Geographically, we are in N Europe and are therefore European. To clarify:

Re the E.U. - British opinion is divided as to whether it is a good thing to be in the E.U. or not. We were originally "sold" the idea as being a Common Market with limited number of countries in membership (I was young at the time and got taken in by that and went round calling myself European and wanting to be part of a super-country called "Europe". I've since realised rather more about what it has really entailed for us). It does look rather like the E.U. is trying to regard itself as a super Nation State these days. It is certainly the case that it has a lot bigger membership than it used to have and is concerning itself with a lot more than trade.
Many British people are now accordingly against E.U. membership and wish to withdraw. The majority of us now wish to withdraw and there is a lot of pressure on our current Government to agree to a referendum as to whether we will withdraw or no.
Errr...yep..it would have been better if Britain had been listed separately in the poll originally, but mistakes can be made and those who believe we are part of Europe and/or want us to be in the E.U. have probably ticked that they come from Europe.
Others of us who take Europe as being continental Europe and/or are looking forward to when we are no longer part of the EU will have searched in vain for an option to tick and wont have ticked one.
Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will indeed be withdrawing and the sooner the better.

On a different tack, usual lack of memories prevailing, but I have strong inkling I've been Greek, Arabic, Turkish and from Scandinavia (Denmark I think) before now.
Yep, because even if we know who we were before we don't know who we will be if we have to return here again. Lol.DNA tests give us a few shocks. I have 2% Middle Eastern and am also related to Oetzi the Iceman. My ancient heritage is mostly Viking. It goes to show that we can't say much about our 'enemies'.
Hoping we have some kind of choice in location, If so US, or Canada or maybe UK againYep, because even if we know who we were before we don't know who we will be if we have to return here again. Lol.
I've been in England in all but one of my handful of remembered pl's. The one where I wasn't was in a quite primitive tribe of golden skinned people who had almost died out. There was only maybe two or three dozen of us left, and I can't remember any children or whole families left. Maybe they had all gone elsewhere to try and find a way to sustain themselves.Hoping we have some kind of choice in location, If so US, or Canada or maybe UK again

Yes. Lovely part of the country even though much of this area isn't rich, and we are a bit hard up now.I think you are south east england as well yeah?

I have read quite a few poor comments on 23&me. I have never done a dna test as it could be misused for surveillance of demographics and my children share part of my dna. Also, all my family and my husbands have known their heritage anyway. In the end, we go back to Sumaria, the cradle of civilisation, imo. Also did a test some years ago. I am in the high 80's Scandinavian, 10% finnish and slightly below 2% baltic. Which is pretty much standard results for anyone from Northeastern Sweden, judging by several other results from people I know. Don't trust 23andme, though. They tamper with results (of white people only) for the sake of political activism, and have admitted as much. I took mine at myheritage and I know people who have gotten pretty different results when they checked some other site.
As a reply to the thread in general, I come from rural northern Sweden, near the arctic circle.
Town or rural? Parts of the Midlands are very beautiful indeed. The countryside of S Derbyshire took my breath away when we went there a few times.I currently live in the Midlands (UK) but have lived previously for some years in Spain nr Madrid and Tomelloso which is a small town in Castilla La Mancha (Don Quijote land).
