What Past Life Music brings you peace?

Eva1942

A Walking Enigma...
I know there’s a thread about what music you LIKED from your past lives, but what I would like to know is, what music BRINGS you peace?

For me it’s the Kaddish and a song called ‘Belz, Mayn Shtetele Belz’. These songs always bring me great peace when I feel like I cannot fight another day. While I chose not to be Jewish in this lifetime, I still find Yiddish songs very soothing to me.

Just a bit of back story to the latter. Belz, was a town in Poland which had if not ALL of the Jewish population wiped out in the Holocaust. The original is actually a Yiddish nursery rhyme and it reminds me a lot of what my Jewish Mama in my WWII lifetime used to sing to me to calm me. As she is one of my guides in this lifetime, she still does sing to me when I feel I am in great pain. It brings me such peace to hear my beautiful Yiddish again.

So... what’s yours? Share away! :)

Kaddish- Sung by Cantor Azi Schwartz from Park Avenue Conservative Synagogue, NY

Belz, Mayn Shtetele Belz:

I was German in my most recent past life(as you know) BUT I spent a portion of my life in Russia so I would pick up some aspects of Russian culture. One of them is lullabies. I would sing this particular song to my children while playing the guitar. Mel would carry the baby.

I also like the Masha and the Bear version of this song:

How wonderful, thank you for sharing with us. For me there is a song "You are my sunshine" that gets to me every time, worst when it first happened as my eyes got blurry with tears, I got all choked up inside. Silly - it is only a quite common song one can sing that I think it's intention is romantic, and not to sing to a child, but I kept seeing a little child's face who would mimic when the words came that "...and I would hang my head and cry" to then lift the head up and spread the hand, fingers on each side of the head , look more happy when to sing "You are my sunshine", because it reminds me of a past life moment with my past life child. This child was "my" sunshine and it was my way of saying "how much I love you". I suppose it is not a song that bring me peace, but is still important in it's own little way.

Hi, good idea, Eva, to make this thread.

For me it is the song "Into the Mystic" (1970) by Van Morrison. I think the first time that I heard it was in a movie, but the song itself was released when I think my possible past life me was alive.
Here comes the lyrics:
"We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won
As we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly
Into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows
I will be coming home, mmm mmm
And when the fog horn blows
I want to hear it
I don't have to fear it
I wanna rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then magnificently we will float
Into the mystic
When that fog horn blows
You know I will be coming home
And when that fog horn whistle blows
I gotta hear it
I don't have to fear it
And I wanna rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will float
Into the mystic
Come on girl
Will they stop now

That song reminds me of a horror movie. I forgot what it was. I think it was Annabelle, if I remember correctly. That song doesn’t have a past life meaning to me, to be honest. The type of music I listened to in my past life were classical, rock and folk music(especially Russian ones). I lived long enough for rock music but it’s not calming soo

Woo Masha & Bear! My son’s favourite! :D

This is the song I want played at my funeral. I love nostalgic/haunting songs like these.
