What does your user name say about you?

There's more to it, of course, but we're not here for a history lesson. :)
Why not? Most of us in the forum are history buffs. That seems to be one common trait with people who remember past lives.

Good thread :)

Mine comes from one of my favourite books, "The Forrest house" - Eilean was the highest priestess, worshiping mother earth and at the same time she was the daughter of Druid.

if i have not been in the past or maybe one day i would like to be a queen or ruler, and have a huge gothic castle, and also in life i have battled alot of things and i see myself as a warrior in life x

Never A Victim.....Forever A Fighter! boxing

Axes, because a while ago, I would see a war axe every time I was in psychological distress.

I seem to have a warrior like attitude, sometimes. At other times, I seem more like a healer.

On most websites, I go by Northwind, however. After the George MacDonald story. I am only Axes on this forum.

I covered this a number of years ago, but it bears repeating for the new people.

"hydro" means water and has several connections for me, one, it figures into a Past Life, and two, when I was a teenager in this life, I did a lot of things with water, surfing, swimming and so forth and thirdly, I was born a Cancer, which is a water sign.

And lastly "lad or laddie" denotes my Scottish heritage, mainly on my Mother's side of the family.

So there, you have it: "hydrolad". :)

Luling is the name of a town here in Texas. We drive through it on the way out of town sometimes, often stopping for snacks because that's usually around the time my kids get hungry. It just popped into my head when I was registering. It has nothing to do with past lives, but it is fun to say.

Shield is my actual last name translated from swedish.

It´s a soldier´s name first taken by my great great grandfather.

The word in itself could, of course, be seen as having many symbolic connotations.

The 2 is simply because I had to ´reboot´ the membership at one time.

I haven´t been very active here for quite a few years but it seems the itch and inspiration

to dig into these things is flaring again;).

This time around, I got stuck with a cutesy name that would be great for a cheerleader or country singer, but doesn't suit me at all. Anna is the much better one I had before.

BTW, I once asked my adopted dad what he would have named me if given a choice. He said Angelina. I wonder if he was subconsciously picking up on the past.

When I was a Prodigy dancer (not part of the band, though LOL) my nick name was demicyanide, later on it was my artist name (Demi Cyan) it was kinda crazy punk-techno-rock stuff I am not doing anymore and its not my artist name any more either, but there are still lots of folks in real life calling me Demi, and I like that name even more than the one in my pp... feels Celtic somehow?

hi

I chose glia as my nick name when I needed one back in 1997 when I discovered the internet ;-) that night I was learning about neurons and glia cells (biological psychology) and the word "neuron" just didn´t sound that good to me  . In the meantime I feel comfortable with the name glia and identify myself with it

Great name! I was just wondering if it was because of that actually. Neurons take all the protagonisms, but they wouldn´t be anything without glia. Also, the glia cleans up their mess.

i saw it online one day and i imediately chuckled to myself in a mocking way for some reason, and its just sorta stuck in my mind.

also i love spiders.

My username is just my actual first name. But it might be past life related..my parents where to call me another name but they changed it after I was born...the name they had initially picked for me didn't seem right... ;)

I chose Medea because it is derived from my name 'Amedea' and is also the one of a figure from a greek myth. a115.gif

Being new I thought this would be a good start. I chose mine because I have always been a Protector of a sorts, Either I am protecting people from bullies or Animals from the bad And Love is to remind myself to remember it's okay and then Care because I am always caring for something. Mostly My Pets. I could not make it through anything without my pets...

I am curious why members pick the names they do. Is it your real name? A past life name? A symbolic name? What does your user name mean to you?
Mine - really is Deborah. :coffee:
Gosh, it's been so long since I've been here. wine** Glad to be back, and to see a great new sub-forum.

My user name Susie is my family nick-name, short for Susan.

When I joined the forum I only remembered one PL, which was being a woman during WWII. I had just learned/figured out the meaning of it. The image of the woman was so strong in my mind, I just automatically thought to use the word "woman" as my user name. The Hebrew word popped in my head first so that's what I used. "Isha" (pronounced "eeshAH"). Just a plain everyday word.

Tourmaline is my favorite gemstone...it comes in so many magical colors and I like its cheerful, clear, protective energy.
