I dont really know much about birthmarks, but My mother, my grandmother and i all share the same birthmark on the back of our necks. Its a red patch at the hairline, and none of us have ever had it fade or dissappear. sometimes it is less noticeable than other times, but its always there. It was the first thing my grandmother looked for when i was born according to my mother. I also have a little brown mark thats like someones taken a pen and drawn a tiny line down the inside of my left arm (no bigger than a centimeter). I'd noticed it since i was young, but i never thought anything of it. One day my grandmother and i were talking, and she just happened to spot it. She told me that my Uncle (her other child) had exactly the same birthmark, on the same arm. It kind of freaked me out at first, because i didnt realise that birthmarks could be the same on two people. A few days ago, i was out sunbathing, when my mother noticed a large mole on the back of my right hip. Supposedly it's also the same as my Uncles. I wasn't born with it, and it's developed over many years. It was the same with him. Another "freaky" thing is that when he was diagnosed with cancer many years ago, at the same time i became seriously ill with flu, and i had a feeling that something was wrong with someone in the family though no one took any notice, and told me to behave. No one else but me has thought of this as possibly a connection between me and him. We'd never met either, until my 13th birthday, and only ever spoken on the phone 3 times. Anyway, i am rambling. I must shut up.
