    Think I read somewhere, in here maybe, that you can make 3 lists that can help you see connections to past lives.
    The first one is about what you really really like, and it could be anything- countries, food, colors etc..
    Then there is the dislike list. What you really really hate or are afraid of.
    Last list is about physical problems you don't have an explanation for.

    Maybe we can see some themes etc in our lists? Would be cool to see others lists as well:)

    Here is my lists:

    My list:

    List 1 like
    Family and friends, going barefoot, sitting on a rock in summer looking at the Sun glittering in the ocean, eating food from the floor with plate on table and sometimes with fingers, dolphines, herbs, healing with herbs, natural remedies, Hawaii and New Zealand, France, Italy, and Greece, yellow corn/maize, Ireland/Scotland, China, the Mist of Avalon and that kind of stuff, Moulin Rouge movie, nature green color, vibrant yellow and orange color, turqoise color, the rainforest, stories about the Selkies, central European cities, small open islands without trees, peace, ginger, running down a hill, climbing trees, magic and work with energy - healing, colors, elements etc.. , crystals, open areas, temples, anis candy, pineapple, palm trees, coconuts, oak trees, going on discovering/adventure trips, dancing, vegetable markets, thrustworthy people, writing, innocence, Maya indians, astrology, 1800's dresses, role playing, house animals, sea salt, olives

    Things that is very fascinating, but at the same time a bit scary list lol:
    German castles, airplanes

    List 2 don't like
    Hospitals, being tricked, dishonesty, a certain sickening shade of green and one of pink, being controlled, taking shoots, unmelted butter in sandwitches, not being in control of myself/my body, sanitary rooms with no furniture, hospital smells, to be tricked, to be captive, vomiting, human trafficking, mussels, certain buildings, to not be able to breath, chemicals, going somewhere against my will, funny masks, shallowness, cruelty against animals, food poisioning, getting into trouble for speaking up, the holocaust, female supression, foot binding

    List 3

    Nothing I can think of right now.

    Hiya Seline!

    Lists are always fun :D

    Things I like:

    Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Celtic music & dance, Russia, ballet, Italy, pasta, potatoes, bread & cheese, fresh fruit, oatmeal on a cold morning, ice skating, forests, open fields with wildflowers, stone cottages, waterfalls, the ocean, rainy days, bonfires, literature, reading, writing, poetry, languages, patchwork quilts, wrought iron beds, the colors blue & purple, light pine & wicker furniture, candles, bubble baths, journals, big widows, singing, piano, violins, castles, Gothic architecture, art, classical music, opera, rosaries....just to name a few!

    Things I dislike:

    Racism, intolerance, suppression, turtleneck sweaters, sharks, swimming in deep lakes or too far out in the ocean, child labor, animal cruelty, pork & red meat, lima beans, sleeping in a bed that's not against a wall, mathematics, snow & cold weather, spiders & bugs, driving in a car next to the water, violence and war, rude people, ingratitude, hospitals and doctors...again, just a few :D

    Ooh, I like lists, too.

    Things I like: the color pink, the sound of Hebrew, RvB, Tucker, ice cream, the ocean, Poland, the sound of Polish, snow, kittens, Czech, books, sewing, frilly dresses, kissing, writing, strawberries, gardenias, scones and clotted cream, French, the Netherlands, lying in warm sand, looking up at the sky, cerulean, embroidery, ballet, gymnastics and saying the Sh'ma.

    Things I don't like: Nazis, pain, fish, sexism, racism, any form of discrimination, anti-semetism, cruelty towards both animals and people, pepper, intolerance towards other religions, war, getting sick, hospitals, getting blood drawn, panic attacks, seeing the ones I love suffer, and there is nothing I can do to help.

    Physical problems with no explanation: Ever since I was small, my eyes have crossed. I had five operations when I was very small, and that didn't fix the problem. Then I have a sixth (which got messed up) and so the seventh and last corrected the mistake in the sixth. However, my right eye still turns inward.

    You would think with so many operations they would be able to fix it, but apparently not, -.-;

    Seline, did you know that in China (which you also mentioned), women's feet used to be bound?

    Things I like: Family, friends, writing, nature, swimming, personal space, anything historical or old fashioned, water, farms, small towns, genealogy, open mindedness, Spain, Latin America, Ancient Egypt, wearing dresses and skirts, warm weather and temperatures (I'm happier in the spring and summer), the old west.

    Things I dislike: People coming up from behind me, being kissed on the forehead, racism, intolerance, my eyes being touched, weird facial expressions, watching people go through medical procedures (even simple things like shots - I'm fine with getting them, but watching other people getting them makes me sick).

    Physical problems with no explanation: I write like I'm left handed, even though I'm right handed.

    What an interesting thread!

    Things I like: Rain, the sound of thunder, and lightening; root vegetables (I swear, they're just so beautiful, especially root vegetables like radishes and turnips and carrots, that I get happy just looking at them), and vegetables, fruits and mushrooms in general; saunas, cats, the color green and yellow slightly less; flat pieces of land such as big meadows or something similar; geese; colored glass things, such as bottles and beads, especially if green is the color of the glass; spearmint, children of all ages and taking care of children even when they're sick or angry, cooking, dried fruit, anarchist communism, old wooden houses, ruins of wells and other such things, various media of the post-apocalyptic genre, emeralds, clear quartz, rabbits and hares, bears, deer, mice, liquid eyeliner, embroidering, wearing dresses and skirts, men with long hair and beards, yellow flowers, stories having to do with the paranormal, and many other specific things that I can't think of to list right now.

    Things I dislike: Sarcasm, condescending tones, anyone who is mean to children and/or animals, eating, seeing my own hairs stuck to my clothes, my looks, vegetarian Chinese food (though I loved non-vegetarian Chinese food before I became a vegetarian), people who refer to an animal as ''it'' even when they know the sex of the animal, kissing on the lips, the smell and taste of beer and wine and Kool-Aid, wooden spoons, belts, elastic, not being able to sleep when I want to, dirty kitchens or houses, needles, fingernail clippers (there's a big reason behind that which certainly comes from this life, though I always only use clippers to trim my fingernails), fingernails in general, deep or dark water, knives, soap, feeling soap or anything even remotely sticky or oily on my hands, writer's block, romance novels, and too many other things to even attempt to list.

    I wonder how many of those things are related to any or all of my past lives? What do you guys think? :tongue:

    Wow, you have all very interesting lists lol.

    I'm not really sure everything we have written is associated with past lives, but reading your lists it seems like there could be some themes? Too bad I'm not that good with history, otherwise it would probably been even easier to see links to historical events maybe.

    Interesting (although not very surprising) that many of us have hospitals on the hate lists. Maybe we have died from a disease or accident there some time.. In my case I feel that my fear of hospitals can be related to the hospitals in concentration camps during ww2. Medical experiments etc..

    Same with shoots.

    Many also have different kinds of vegetables etc on their lists. I was just thinking that before when people didn't get things imported, they had to grow and live on the resources found in the area, and often your life would depend on weather you got this or not, so maybe it is some clues there as well?

    @Ailish:

    Do you think that your dislike of pork/read meat has to do with religion? And maybe you have drowned some time?

    @PrivateTucker:

    I think I've seen you mentioned it before that you feel connected to ww2 and camps? May explain your likes to Poland (maybe you lead a good life there) and dislike to nazism etc. Do you sometimes reads newspapers or magazines etc from the end to the beginning? Just read somewhere that Jewish books are written in the opposite direction, but I'm not sure of it lol! I read newspapers like that often, but not sure if this means I've been jewish before.

    Sorry to hear about your eyes, but good to hear that the operations have helped you a bit at least! Do you think there is a past life reason for that, and do you know what it could be?

    @Looking backwards

    Yeah, I know foot binding was a tradition in China, I also feel very connected to China, so I'm going to explore that a bit lol.

    Thanks for mentioning it:)

    @Raakel

    Do you think perhaps you have lived close to earth and with farming life etc? You have a very interesting dislike list as well. When you say eating in this list, I hope you don't mean you have a eating disorder? But some of the other things, maybe you worked with cleaning before?

    @My own list:)

    Think I might have lived on a tropical island?? Very connected to the nature there. The unmelted butter in sandwitch on my hate list is probably just something to do with genes and taste buds lol:)

    Seline, I definitely think that I've farmed or at least grown vegetables and other such things in previous lives, as well as in this life. But no, I don't have an eating disorder - I just hate the act of eating. I'm not sure why. I've always had kind of a problem swallowing things, especially liquids (I tend to take very small sips and it's hard for me to drink a large quantity of anything), though again, I have no idea why. And as for the cleaning part, I'm quite an organised person by nature, and I guess that's the reason behind my love of clean rooms in houses, especially kitchens. :D

    Raakel: Could you have had an eating disorder before? Of course, if you have trouble eating, it's more likely that it's just a lengthy process for you.

    I think that everything on our lists is a combination of current life and past life things. We hang onto a lot of things from this life too, perhaps more than we realize. I'd say the difference is in just how we're affected by those likes, dislikes, etc - not how much, but the circumstances. Did our love for that country come after we studied it in school or watched a movies that took place there, or maybe even after we visited it ourselves? Or do we love a country we've never even heard of?

    I don't feel as though I might have had an eating disorder in a previous life. Actually, if anything, for certain reasons, I've often wondered if I could have instead been strangled to death, or had my throat cut, in another life. It's very scary to think about, but - well, for one thing, my mom always told me that from the first day I was born, I had a very strange habit of keeping my head cocked way over to one side, usually the right side. And then later on, when I got a bit older and got better use of my hands, I always kept my hands pressed up against the right side of my neck. I'd ''mess around'' with my entire throat and neck constantly, but it was usually only my right side. I remember doing that. The habit lasted probably until I was about twelve years old, when I made the decision to break the habit myself, and it drove everybody insane, because I guess they must have thought that it was so annoying to watch my hands constantly flying to my neck, on the right side just above the collarbone, and kneading the flesh there, sometimes pretty hard. I never felt any pain in the area, but also all my life, whenever I get ultra-stressed and happen to feel a vein or tendon or something like that pop out of my neck, so to speak, I absolutely freak and imagine it being somehow severed. Just like a thread. And also nowadays, whenever I'm feeling a bit stressed or full of angst or something, I occasionally touch the fingers of my left hand to the right side of my neck repeated times, as if trying to feel for something that shouldn't be there, though I have no idea of what it could be, until I just stop. It's very strange, and one thing I've always really hated about myself.

    Also, though, I just thought about something that has to do with my love for clear glass things, such as beads, especially if those beads happen to be green. I was reading an article a little while back that had to do with the kind of bling that was bought and traded during the Viking Age all across Europe, primarily in Scandinavia. I remember now that the article specifically mentioned something about necklaces of green glass beads, which were typically worn in early times by the women of Kievan Rus', which, as you may know, was the name of the part of Russia that was founded by Scandinavian traders. I know that sounds kind of weird, but I wonder if there might be a connection between that and my love for glass beads, especially green ones. It would definitely match up with the time frames in which I believed I used to live, anyway - the Viking Age, and the fashions of those times...

    I just happened to be looking for pictures of ''ancient glass beads'' on Google, and the search engine came up with this picture, if anyone's interested: [IMG]

    The website the picture was on said that those beads were from the 10th century in China, I believe, but they're really beautiful, and exactly the kind of beads that I always think about whenever I think about my past life in Viking Age Russia, or green glass beads in general. Who knows, I know it sounds a bit far-fetched, but maybe there is a connection, like I was talking about before. For example, there was so much trade going on all over Europe and Asia at that time in history, all of which would have been going back and forth across Russia as well, that, if I had used such bling in a past life, I think the beads could have easily originated in China. :laugh:

    Ooh, those are beautiful! ^^

    Yes, my most recent past life involved the Holocaust, and even though I was a Polish Jew and have no doubt that I suffered greatly in Poland I have always had such a strong positive connection towards it, especially the city of Krakow. In the one memory I have of that childhood it appears that I was very loved and had a large family that cared for me, so maybe that explains my nostalgia for Poland.

    And yes, books written in Hebrew are written in the opposite direction. Though I can't read Hebrew, I didn't notice that I took to that way of reading books fairly quickly (in reference to Japanese manga, which is written the same way) whereas my friends struggled with that. I am not sure if there is a past life reason for my eye issues- my mother had similar issues but unlike mine it got rectified qucikly. I do remember being absolutely terrified of eye drops when I was younger. They often had to give them to me post surgery and I would go into fits of hysterics and have to be physically restrained in order to have them be put in. I did read about Nazi doctors injecting drops into the eyes to try and change the color, which seems familiar to me.

    /long answer, sorry!

    This is so much fun!! And helpful. And a good oppurtunity.

    1. Things I really like- flowing bodies of water. Not necesarily the ocean. Fashion, Ancient Rome, Celtic music, Klezmer, Eastern Europe, more than anything. Islam,poetry,musical instruments,the color red, Russian language, yiddish, slavic tounges, dogs,cats,children,Sushi, asian food. Italian food, Russian deserts. France, the 1920s, the renaissance,art, Farms, victorian/edwardian New York City, Boston Massachusetts, California, New Orleans,judaism, tibet, bon religion night? Writing, rhythm, Santeria, plaid, red lipstick, victorian england, parties, early 1900s urban areas, hot jazz. victorian era brick row houses, Iran, India... New England, The ocean, Tudor England. Diversity. Psychology, children and men. Native America. Greys, blacks, blues. Big band, Motown. I'm... disturbed by Poland. I don't like it. It seems like a bad place that I don't need to go.

    2. Things I hate- bullies, Military dress Uniforms, Guns, people pointing toy guns at me, anyone going in depth about the human brain. Pictures, disection- can't handle it. Not having enough food in my house makes me frantic. German Shepherds, agressive men. If someone's teasing me, or they think they're flirting.. and they make me uncomfortable and refuse to eventually even stop at my request, it drives me insane. I'll do anything to get them to stop. Throw things, kick, bite, anything. I hate even thinking about mistreated or sad dogs. It breaks my heart. Intolerance, Misogyny, cruelty. Bigotry. I am bigoted against bigots. I have no empathy for them. I'm not good with Christianity either. I hate empty, remote wilderness. I always imagine myself lost in it.. as a little girl? Being alone in the woods at night. It overwealms me. Being dizzy, dehydrated. My head being out of whack at all bothers me to death. I hate institutional atmospheres. Camps. Spoken German by men. I have asthma and heavily dislike running. I can't even be polite to people about their anti semitism or homophobia. I completely take them apart. I hate sleeping in a bed that's not right next to a wall.

    Physical problems- intense vertigo. I need to take medication for it.. ever since I was a little girl. Doctors are puzzled since I've never had a head injury. Can never look people directly in the eye with both eyes.

    I've never learned how to play the piano. When I was four, I used to play with the one in the store my mother works in. An old man stopped my mother and told her that I was playing mozart once. Funny, but true. Everywhere I went, I'd find a piano and work on it intensely. I still do. I can't read music, but I'm better than most at making it sound like I can.

    Things I dislike:

    cruelty to animals especially to dogs, indifference to animals in need, ignorant people, being yelled at, child abuse, hospitals and doctors, any kind of medical procedure, being physically "trapped" in any way, not being able to get up and leave when I want, feeling like I have no control of my life, having trouble breathing, having anything near my eyes/things blowing in my eyes (like dirt), commitment of any kind, being teased or laughed at, snakes, spiders, being near horses (I like to watch them from far away but their hooves scare me), bulls, driving on steep roads, driving on icy roads, bridges, being chased or followed, religious people who try to cram their beliefs down your throat, people who play mind games, people who stand too close to me, rude people, being in crowds, parties, cities, electronic beeping.
