A Mountain Shoshone Experience

Now in my latest mountain wanderings this summer, had a very interesting and profound Mountain Shoshone - Sheepeater experience. It was while I was camping and hiking up here in Northwestern Wyoming of where I live, just like a week or two ago. I personally for years and years felt really closely attached to these 'Sheepeaters' and have deeply felt that have had multiple past lives with these people.

Now the Mountain Shoshones or Sheepeaters were the year round residents that lived in this Greater Yellowstone Country. They never adopted the horse with walking wherever they went and keeping with the pre-horse ways. They had a bunch of wolf dogs and they usually traveled in small groups. Their lifestyle revolved around the Bighorn Sheep hence the name 'Tukadika' - Sheep Eater. They would winter in some nearby mountain valley and then summer in the High Country.

Now as for the experience. It was in the later part of the day and I was coming back from a hike up what is called Polecat Creek. There are some expansive meadows back in here which have visited and loved for years. And I was making my way down walking and traversing thru these back meadows. And as I was walking down thru these meadows, it came upon me that at a point I saw myself walking with and surrounded by a group of these Mountain Shoshones - Sheepeaters. There was about one to two dozen people in the group who were mostly dressed in unadorned and undecorated buckskins walking and moving here in late summer from one place to another. And with them were also their wolf dogs pulling their travois helping to transport their stuff. Also how it seemed at times that I could almost speak and talk their language with it being right on the very tip of my tongue it seemed.

And as this came upon me, it came to me how much these people were sincerely at peace, happy, and in contentment in their mountain home. To them living in these Rocky Mountain wilds was not 'Wild' but it was just their 'Home'. The sky seemed somewhat hazy also like this summer with all the fires and smoke around and about of how probably it was back then. And the experience lingered with me till near the very end of the day it seemed.

Later on I ended up along the Snake River where I took a rest. Here I could see all the group around me relaxing and enjoying each other and the surrounding. The children played, the dogs unharnessed were taking a drink in the drink, the adults talked and relaxed. Later on after awhile, the group continued on in their journey.

Then as this experience was continuing, I thought I would ask some questions into the spirit world as to this experience. Here is the questions and the answers ....

What Time Period? ..... Precontact (Before contact with whites which would be before the Lewis and Clark time period and the Mountainmen in the early 1800s).

What Gender? ...... Both - Multiple lives with them both as a woman and as a man.

How Long Did I live? ..... A Natural Lifespan(s)

Also during the experience, I could see myself in several of the past lives with them. At onepoint I was really drawn to a young to middle aged woman which have thought was myself. Here in this life collected the plants and herbs, had a family, and lived to an old age. In another glimpse during this time, saw myself as a men with some decorated and adorned clothing and was a tribal leader and elder of them. It was interesting but did see how being and living with them in these lives is with me still today deep inside. There were several times in which all I could do was break down and deeply sob. Then towards the end, came to a road in here along the Snake River. When I got to the road, a truck passed by on the road and how much had I been it seemed back in time with these Mountain Shoshones, that it came to me .... "Darn, back to present day reality and I broke down and just sobbed". But the experience did not end but did continue on till near the end of the day.

Hope I have been able to explain it in words but it was a really deeply profound experience penetrating to my most inner self. Here again on a late summer day seeing and being with a group of Mountain Shoshone - Sheepeaters in a way that it was just not some imagination but like everyday reality it seemed.

Wishing Everyone the Best!
