    How big is a soul?

There have been scientific studies made that at the exact moment of our death we loose 6 ounces. Therefore the supposition is that our soul weighs 6 ounces. The soul, imo, is energy and eneegy has mass, ergo the 6 ounces.

Are gender issues past life related?

Interesting debate! Re gender roles...I think we have gone too far away from them actually to the point where it is not actually freeing. Don't get me wrong I'm not against a little girl wanting to be a tomboy, or a boy wanting to play with dolls. But by saying, women and men are the same we...

I have found a therapist but...

I would also like to express my sadness about the loss of your brother, my condolences. As for the regression, I suggest that in addition to Carol, you might want to read Many Lives, Many Masters by Paul Weiss. From all that I've read the whole point of remembering is to confront the baggage...

    Homesick

As i mentioned earlier, although I feel drawn to other places, I don't feel homesick for them, exception might be a little like Sunniva, I did feel tremendous longing for italy, then I lived there for a year and got it out of my system and now would call no place other than exactly where I am...

    Homesick

I sincerely believe in the power of place when it comes to pl memories. For me the connections have been texas, italy and my own hood. I have stood in the apse of st. John the divine in harlem and felt eternity. I think tapping into these feelings helps us on our journeys.

Son remembers death in the Navy (Shark)

Hi Lisa and thanks for sharing. I have friend who is going through something very similar, she has a 4 year old who is having problems and difficulty being diagnosed, Aspergers, anxiety disorders etc. I wish she were as open as you are to ideas like pl trauma, and she's not the type who I...

    Some interesting statistics

Paul Weiss once mentiomed that you could ask a child at around the age of 3-4 if they remembered "when they were big" and you would usually get a great response. I think since most kids aren't asked that they don't volunteer the info, however people who had traumatic lives before maybe can't...

    A Friend's Past Life Memory

There seem to be a number of revolutionary war memories here. An interesting thought, I once read an alternate explanation to PL recall, that it was a genetic memory, somehow carried down through our dna...I was once at gettysburg and felt nothing, although one of my ancestors fought there...

    Odd life times

I kind of think all PL memories are actually "odd", so I'm curious what others think would qualify a pl memory as odd. Thx!

Memory fragments from Native American life

I always felt drawn to the Iriqouis nation, and love the names they have left behind...connecticut, osceola, tokeneke, the words are like a blessing:-)

    My life as a monk...

Jadeswan, I find your experiences to be very powerful, not only because they are so rich, but you seem to be getting so much from them! Inspiational! Considering how many people went through religous lives (convents, monostaries, etc.) Its not surprising for me that there are many here who...

Why we care about PL experiences.

Cool!!! Ben was pretty cool. I started a new thread on the topic:-) p.s. we are neighbors, I live about 6 exits south of you!

Why we care about PL experiences.

Thanks! Sadly, if Napoleon reincarnated, it was probably as Hitler:-( Hope he isn't lurking around the world these days! If you could be the reincarnation of anyone who would it be? Might be a good thread:-)

Why we care about PL experiences.

****...just erased a brilliant post;-) The gist was...if we use our PL memories constructively its good, if we use it to inflate our egos, not so much. One of the things I like here is that there aren't a lot of people running around saying "I was Napoleon...or I was a priestess in...

    Ah, Roma!

Lovely, I lived a year in italy and felt right at home in bologna (never got lost, even from the first day), rome, venice and milan, but my best memory was walking through Venice at dusk, following my shadow...your memory reminds me of my stay there, thank you! I don't know what italy means to...

Why we care about PL experiences.

I think another reason I am interested in pl is to put my dreams into some sort of context...well nightmares more accurately. Why would a child from a stable loving home experience horrific nightmares from toddlerhood? Most of which center around people trying to kill me?

    Are we supposed to remember?

I think some of use need to remember, in order to move forward, and some of us need to forget, in order to move forward.

How far back do past lives go?

There are cave paintings in the south of france that date to 40,000 bc...I have always been moved by them. As an artist I see them as a direct link to our past...for me art is a way to live eternally. I guess what I am getting at, is that we are all old souls, but how old we are is hard to know.

(my question is) are our names ?

Florence, your love of your son is a beautiful and inspiring act of faith! .I am glad to read about it here on this wonderful forum. Regarding names...in doing research for a class project I learned of one of my ancestors...her name was Magdelana la Favre...I had a moment of recognition when I...
