Britain WW2 memory??

I just joined today after having one dream/memory- that just doesn't feel like a normal dream that I've ever had in the past. It's like it goes a TON deeper then anything I'd consider "normal" This dream happened 5 days ago and I've been intrigued by it ever since.

(this is really in no real order of events because these were mostly 3-4 flashes)

So the flashes were of England and it was really grey, and "I" was working in a haunted tavern. I remember seeing the kitchen area really clearly (now that I'm writing it out here). And the kitchen area had alot of white appliances from then. Whoever was me, from my observation, seemed like she had a clumsy moment.

Cemetery or Park (?)
This part of the flash had basically walking around to paths to nowhere, and there was a park at some point, but idk if somehow my mind blended them together to some sort of symbolism to the Blitz that happened to the Manchester area.. Because at one point I could see children on the swings playing and then in a sort of fading action (I do have an active imagination in this life ;) ) and the park was empty. (Also possible symbolism to block out a possible death from the bombings?)

There was also this view of almost like..not exactly a town square but, like a really small park located on a very slight hill, with streets and buildings on either side. It seems to be across from the pub but I don't know how well I can trust my mind when it comes to the actual leads I just got before writing all this down...

In Current Life I'm really creative with writing and art, and I've written stories since 5th grade, but I've Never been big time into the 40s era, but I've been a Shirley Temple fan since I was 10. I also have interests in the old American west, and Russian history fascinates me, especially the Tsars toward the end of the Romanov line.

And I've got a few leads on a few key parts of those flashes.... There's actually a haunted pub in the Greater Manchester area; and earlier I turned on an old newsreel from 1941 and when one of the buildings in particular showed up (after the bombing no less) I felt as if I Had BEEN in that building.

And my big question is- what is this trying to tell me about my current life? (still figuring it out since this stuff is really new to me)

Okay- a few more important things to add.. I'm extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke, but a campfire obviously doesn't bother me. I've been known to gag, throw up, or have to hold my breath when I'm in or near a cigarette smokey place.

Also, never been to Manchester, UK.. only southern England on a vacation a few years back..

Hi Rocky Rose,

Welcome to the forum. This certainly could be past life related. If it feels very strong and vivid to you, that's the first sign. If it feels emotional to you, that's another sign. Often past life memories will come in disjointed flashes, especially at first. It's not like in the movies where it's all nicely organised.

Sometimes writing it out will prompt more detail to come, so that's one reason it's always recommend to keep a journal about these things. Details can be forgotten later that might be important and somehow the act of writing it down can prompt more memories and/or dreams. Or you might do some research and come across a detail that you remembered earlier and that can be a good verification that you are not imagining things.

It seems like you've possibly already tracked down where this all might have been (there are no coincidences!). It would be interesting if you could get a bit more. Have you tried any meditation techniques? There are some FAQ threads on different methods.

I'm allready a writer and writing things out has always helped with other things. I tend to be emotionally involved in the stories I write, especially dramatic scenes, where in this life, I get a physical reaction to it (which I've dealt with over the years so I basically know when the reaction's coming). A recurring theme tends to be hurt and illness so I'm thinking that has alot of past life connections too..

I'm still drawn toward older things that- in this life I wasn't around for when they originally were on TV and music wise. I can't help but think of how many possible past lives I've had just going by historical things I'm drawn towards (not that that's completely accurate but ;) )

I'm slowly working my way towards that- so I guess I'll know when I'm ready to take that step. It's amazing that I have an small inner circle of friends to type this out to, who may or may not agree on reincarnation but will let me go on about it anyway, without me feeling like they're gonna go all wacko just because this is really a huge personal journey for me.

Heh heh. I know what that feels like. I'm glad you found us.

People here can share a lot of insight and knowledge about this. I look forward to reading more about it. Sounds fascinating.

I had a dream a few hours ago, complete darkness, but the feelings were soo Real. The tension and sadness was soo great that I woke up sad (but not exactly crying). I think it's either a memory right before dying or losing consciousness (whichever came first)

I have this problem, too. Lots of allergic responses to specifically cigarette smoke. But I think it has to do with the chemicals they add to the natural leaf?

I used to have unusually clear dreams a lot before I started looking into reincarnation. It's like my mind was waiting for permission, because the moment I meditated on the concept with an open mind ... WHOOSH ... I got a whole download of imagery for two separate lives before things slowed down to what seems to be a more average level.

It's worth just relaxing and trying various techniques (some are shared in the FAQ. Scroll down to post #18 or so.) I bought a few songs from Higher Music to help me relax and close out household sounds when needed. (Helps me sleep, too.)

Trust your instincts Rocky Rose. If you think that's what it is, mostly likely you're right. What do you suppose happened? Could it have been during a bombing raid during the war perhaps? What does your 'gut' tell you was going on?

If you're not sure, just close your eyes, relax, get into the 'feeling' of it and trust what comes up. If it's upsetting or frightening, that's OK. Just wiggle your toes and open your eyes and try again another time when you are in the right mood.

If you are experiencing any stress or upset from these memories, rest assured it will be temporary. Most people find once they work out what happened and work through the feelings, they feel a whole lot better in the long run. I have seen this many, many times on the forum.

I'm a writer so with my own stories I'm used to waking up to being emotional. ;) a Very recent development now too- the stories I read (even though it's fanfiction for a movie series that has it's sequel coming out in June) and the whole show- I'm finding me and the main character are like.. Super Paralleling...to the point where I want to, use my visual imagination and just fly. And strangely enough, the scene I was thinking about (which I haven't written yet) had him in a really similar position to what eventually occurred in the PL dream..Maybe he's guiding me in some insanely simple yet complex way.

I should probably write that, my "normal" dreams are now being super symbolic of this going back to the past.. my old high school, but was farther into the future, and the college I went to but with an abandoned dormitory that never really existed there..

I tried looking up the casualties for the Blitz but- no names ring a inner bell, at least not yet anyways- even tho I have a sense that my name started with "Mar or May"... also there were about 25 unknown so..

Thought I should add too- in the past I've had fiction and real life parallel but Never has it been Soo...It's at the same level as the initial dream... which to me seems..Way out there but..awesome anyways..

Yes. This is not unusual. Past life dreams are more vivid and emotional and memorable than regular dreams. Also once you start paying more attention to them you tend to start getting more of them at least until you start to feel more resolved about whatever it is they are trying to tell you.

In my case I am less interested in finding out the historical evidence for any of my memories although that's always interesting and affirming. I'm always more interested in 'why now' and 'what is my psyche trying to tell me'? Often it will have something to do with a present life issue I am wrestling with.

Has there been a recent event in your life that might be triggering this? Have you recently met someone for instance who 'seems familiar' to you for example? Or something else that is playing on your mind? You don't have to tell us all about it unless you want to but something to meditate on.

Another thought I had was that the story you are working in is about a man. Do you get a feeling about the gender in your dream(s)? It is not unusual to be different gender from one life to the next.

...and just to keep things interesting sometimes there are future flashes just as there are past life ones. :)

Again, ponder on what the connecting emotion is with these experiences and see if you can divine a pattern or theme. Loss? Sadness? Nostalgia? Anger at the destruction of familiar places?

The empty park you spoke of above where the children used to play also conjures up these sorts of themes to my mind. But this is your 'stuff' so trust your instincts. You will know when it feels right.

The day before I had the initial dream, I was feeling overwhelmed..I'm introverted by nature so sometimes our awesome modern technology overwhelms me.. but even then- that was a different Type of overwhelmed from any normal version of the same thing..

I just feel like the WW2 was a woman, but- you hit the nail right on the head.. I didn't want to go into specifics because I know for a fact the movie/TV series etc would be deemed fantasy and I don't want to get in trouble on here..

I've never had Any character in fiction or reality, ever parallel soo much in One Day...and writing from male characters' point of view has been pretty easy, but I tend to avoid writing the bad guys point of view because I just can't tap into their motives as easily..then again- it probably depends on what I'm writing too.
