Hi all,
I'm brand new here and to all of this so any help you can give would be helpful. I've known for 4-5 years that in my previous life I was born in the late 1920's/early 1930's. I also know I died suddenly and unexpectedly in the late 1960's.

I have a lot of reasons that I know these details and can give examples if needed. Even though I am currently in my 30's I feel most at home hanging out in my grandmother's retirement community like I am supposed to live there too. My heart is in the New York area, within 100 miles of NYC, I think I lived in the city for a bit but didn't grow up there, grew up in or near where my grandparents lived as a child.

My question is, how do you define your past life from your current? How do you tell a childhood quirk from a past life echo?

Lastly, I was with my grandmother recently going though old pictures and one struck me like no picture has before, I could smell it very vividly. I had never seen this picture prior, but I could smell that day and my heart started beating faster. Then my grandmother went on to tell me the guy in the picture had died suddenly trying to save his family & boat after it overturned. I immediately thought, "that's me!" How do I know that thought is true versus me trying to fill in the gaps of what I already know?

Thanks in advance for any help, the more I learn the more I'm overwhelmed, confused, and frustrated! I'd love some clarification ❤️

Hi soulecho -
welcome!
We often have the discussion here how reliable memories/visions/dreams really are. Most agree that the emotions that come along make the difference. If you are very touched by a pic and have the "that`s me" gut feeling you could try to mediate or try regressions online. Having a picture and somebody who knew the person in question makes it already a whole lot easier to verify things. You don´t need to prove anything of course but if you feel the need to first try to get more info from your inner self.

I always question myself how real memories actually are but I do have them and I do carry on traits and interests which are otherwise unexplainable.
Since the guy seems to have died drowning (?) - do you have any issues with water? Fears?

I myself died late in the year 1967 I suppose.

Good luck with your research!

I have had a number of lives but only one where I was quite well known, more due to the fame of my then husband than due to myself. My first clear memory was of my first name, when I was around 7-8 yrs old. The second was of my then husband when I came across a print of portrait of him in a book, when I was 12. Then at around 16 I was looking at large Athena poster prints in a shop and saw one of a painting that was of me in that life. I have had other verifications since such as remembering dear friends. Imo, when we experience that sudden hard hit of 'knowing', it is correct. I hope this helps.

In your past life you passed nobly. I hope you can go on with the peace of that and with being aware that although you may not have been able to save those you loved then, they like you haven't ended. They too will still be alive in body or not, and they also will be alright.

Best wishes,

Angie

Welcome SoulEcho, those "knowings" are central to my experiences as I've had only a few snapshots of another time period. I have tried to regress and learn more while knowing that I might not like what I discovered. A recent attempt brought a momentary feeling of pure terror that I quickly moved away from leaving me with a feeling that I should leave it alone.

From what I've heard and read (and recently experienced), highly emotional experiences, or unfinished things, of a past life are closer to the barrier that hides our previous incarnations.

Hi SoulEcho,

Welcome and ditto what others have said above.

Hi Ken,

This is the first time I've heard you (or anyone else on the board) mention the "Terror Barrier"--something I've talked about in a few posts over the years in terms of my own attempts. When did this happen to you and how? It is one of the things that convinced me not to go down certain pathways . . . at least for the time being.

Cordially,
S&S
