Pictures of a past life

I am reading the book 'The Search for Omm Sety' by Jonathan Cott, and there are a few pictures in the book. I had memories of a life in Egypt myself, but not in the time of King Sety, but a bit earlier, when Kamose was king.
Now there were two pictures in the book that I recognized !! The first was a painting from H.M.Herget, showing a pond with lotuses in a beautiful garden. I remembered walking in such a garden !
The second was a picture of the village Arabet Abydos. This looked so familiar to me, I could almost feel the heath and the dust. It really was like looking at a picture of my home town.
It was the first time this happened to me, that I actually saw something that I recognized from what must have been the past.

I know what you mean. I had the same feeling watching a movie that had a lot of scenes in a Tibetan Buddhist monestary. It felt like home to me. Very strange, but very interesting. I'm quite sure it must be some past life connection. I only wish I could be sure of more details. As it is I have only vague outlines.

eevee- that's so awesome!!! man am i envious!!! ;) i've always looked through various books hoping to find SOMETHING that would strike a chord with me- but alas, nothing thus far... congrats on your recognition! i think that's great!!!!

Jennster,

:cool You might want to try this. When I was a kid I used to look through books with lots of historical paintings and photographs. I always liked certain pictures more than others. Since that time I have remembered many of the lives that I have lived and they all have connections to times and places with these pictures. Try and think back to what you liked to look at as a child and perhaps you will get some clues to places or eras that mean something to you from a past life.

thanks ritt!

you're absolutely right... i'll try to do that as well!!! thanks- we tend to forget so much that we were attracted to as children.. i'll definitely try to think back! i honestly don't think i've changed that much.. LOL..

Try old National Geographic magazines. They are a treasure trove of pictures from around the world and down through history. After my experience with the movie about Tibet I dug up several old National Geo's with articles on Tibet and gazed at the pictures to see what would surface. Beyond a feeling of familiarity in many of them I didn't get anything useful, but it's an interesting exercise and it just might trigger some past life memories and bring them to the surface.

I just found out the name of me in my past life. What was really weird was the time I was told to have lived. It was 1828, in this life I was born 820428. See how the numbers return? I found that weird, anyway, I've always liked 1800's stuff, esp. around 1870-1880, don't ask me why, but I do. In my past life I was told that I used to work as a teacher, and that was a surprise to me because that's what I want to do in this life. I guess I had a good life?

What I forgot to get to is that I'm going to look for photos of me in my past life, because I got my name.

Encyclodepias are a good source too. That's where I first saw a photograph of my 'famous' past life when I was in 5th grade.

It was like looking in the mirror on a bad hair day! My first reaction was "Did I look THAT old???!!!"

I looked at that for the first time, and I felt the grass, felt the heat in front of my body. I felt the shoes, slightly stiff. Almost new feeling, and them twisting with the so natural motion in my feet.

Crazy feeling, isn't it?

I'm still researching this for my past life. I have had many dreams of being in a large, ornately decorated place. I "remember" being in bed at one such time, with my husband, just as dawn was beginning to break, and someone came in to tell us his mother needed him so he dressed quickly and ran out of the room.

I'd always thought it odd that the one place I truly feel "safe" and at peace is in old churches, the kind with the high arches and pillars with gold leafing - the old Cathedrals. I know now that this has some connection with who I was in a past life. That was my refuge in my past life, the one place I could go to be left alone and feel protected.

Hey-

That's what I did In my old life too. I loved my family, but I sometimes wondered, in all their activities and glory if they had any time for me. I felt at home in the church. I felt loved, like I had a purpose. I didn't have many friends anyway. I still have a fondness for churches, (catholic) , and I sometimes go to mass, by myself just for the hell of it. Knowing my family I would probably get punished for just setting foot inside of a church... I lie. I tell them I'm taking short walks in the woods every sunday morning.

Hi White Rose:

I don't know why, but I feel connected to you in some way. I read your post in which you'd posted the link to the RFK pic, and it wasn't the picture that did it. I don't know what it is/was.

Anyway, about the church thing. It's the old ornate Cathedrals that do it for me. I remember sitting in the wooden pew, all alone, and the place is so quiet. No sound save for my breathing and the creaking of the pew when I shift my weight, and it's so incredibly peaceful. There is dust in the air, reflecting the sunlight coming through the windows, giving the place a hazy effect. There's the faint scent of candles and incense. I sometimes would come just to sit there. Not to pray, just to sit, and rest my mind and pretend the rest of the world didn't exist.

It's okay, I had to have my two cents too.

I found this picture of Napoleon III a couple of years ago, researching a school project. I felt this unexplainable sheet of cold, white abject terror go through my mind and down my spine.

I've always had a weird dislike- irrational and intense- of a certain physical type of a man with a mustache like the one N. has. Beards are okay, so are goatees (sp?) but mustaches, absolutely not.

I don't know how I knew him, because after I looked at the picture for a while I had a strong feeling I did- maybe I was a servant and he hurt me or something like that.

And this picture that I found a few months ago- I thought the girl smiling and looking off at someone on the side might have been me. Or at least, she looks a lot like me, as I did back then. She's holding a knife with a floral patterned shawl over her head. I thought I didn't survive the war, and that I was probably at auschwitz/belzec after a labor camp, and this was taken in Bergen Belsen. If that is me, I at least know I survived for a time.

The girl smiling peeling potatoes over a bucket looking over to the side. I have similar eyes, (at least I think-) in this life. I don't have any concrete answers.

In my first past life regression I saw a painting before my eyes .. and me having paint on my hands immediately after that. I was shocked because I recognized it from my art history lessons and refused to think that it was me who did it. Maybe i was just living at the same time.

After the regression when I looked up that painting in my books, i found another one from a different artist, but who lived at the same time. It showed a wedding party - and i had the strange feeling that I knew some of the people in it.

A few years ago I was in the museum of Luxor during my vacation. At one statue I stopped walking. The face of that particular pharao looked very familiar - and I could almost "see" the person who he is today... it´s like two images overlapping. Very strange.

Do you know this person today?
If so, have you tried hints or questions about past life memories?
