Is Your "Third Eye" Open?

I recently heard this referred to as the "Eye of God". I think your sensitivities are naturally in play, shadowofthepast. Usually people need exercises to open their "eye", but have you tried to find ways of controlling yours? I think exercises for this must exist, but I have no expertise. Perhaps other members have this knowledge?

My daughter has a mole where her "third eye" would be. I sometimes have a pimple near that location.

I just seen the 6th sense again.

I can relate what boy was going through.

I seen ghosts off and on not to many times though

I thankful for that. I do see shadows, animals.

At the vet last year I saw small little white dog race

across the floor into the bathroom door and disappeared.

I guess he don't he's passed away.

Back in 2007 my chriopractor passed away because of

blood cancer. A week later we went back into his office

where his friend practiced there also. I was sitting

And he appeared to me he was walking toward

the open window it has a ledge for signing in.

He was wearing blue shirt turned toward me smiled.

just for minute . I guess it was his way of saying goodbye. :(

I known him since I was baby.

"Sixth Sense" is one of my favorite movies. And you are another person here with psychic or intuitive abilities. This seems to be common here in the forum.

I'd be careful about that. All sorts of things could happen

You might not able to deal with.

Right now ? big question I think somebody

might messing stereo on display?

it say err It's been cleaned new plug.

This just happen of late. I said stop it

and stereo went back normal.

Remember the Movie Stir Of Echoes?

I am not saying something like that would

happen to Sarellah. Once you open that

door.? You have to take good with the bad.

And door might never close. if that door

opens. like mine.

This based on my experience

with a so-called pyschic.

Please don't assume I have anything againest regression therapy

I truley believe in the process I am glad it's here.

Our intuition is a good thing. NOT using it is what gets us into trouble. "So-called psychics," yes, THOSE are to be watched out for. REAL HYPNOTISTS are fine...

I think it needs to go beyond "hypnotist", to regression therapist, if at all possible. That would be particularly true in the case of children, or young adults.

Just a thought

Hi shadowsofmypast,

One of our moderators, years ago said it best. FEAR stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Consciousness studies show evidence that we create our realities. Big topic - maybe later.

I think she was a regression therapist :) And I was way self-destructive before my regression therapy, but after I got it, it was exactly what I expected: Everything I'd been waiting for! It was soooo worth it, and not dangerous at all! :)

Does anyone feel that since joining the forum, their third eye is opening? ... I find, in my own case, that I am having more psychic experiences since posting here. In my reading, I find references to the "third eye" opening being PL related, and in some cases being very disorienting. I would think you would have to be a lot more "advanced" than I am to have this happen. Does anyone else have experiences or opinions to relate?...
I've said before, but it's worth repeating, I don't see anything supernatural about past life memories. I think it's something very natural. This is evidenced by the fact that little children seem to remember their previous lives quite easily and don't find anything frightening about it particularly, unless they have scarey memories, which can happen of course. In our monotheistic cultures it's been suppressed for a number of reasons, so there is a certain amount of superstition and fear around it all as there often is with the 'unknown'.

That said, yes, I think once you start thinking about these things, writing about them, talking to others, and of course experiencing them for yourself it's not uncommon for people to start to feel more aware of that 'other' side of life. Some people may experience this as some kind of physical sensation, such as a feeling in the region of the 'third eye'. Or they might become more sensitive to other people's auras, emotions, 'vibes' however you like to think of it. They might start having more and vivid dreams or develop an interest in various esoteric issues.

It's not uncommon for 'newbies' to the forum to start off with one or two little memories which they will present often quite hestitantly. Then having received encouragement and understanding from the forum and learned a few techniques they will get 'flooded' with new memories for a while. This can often be upsetting or unsettling, particularly with dramatic or disturbing memories - which tend to be the first ones to come up, but it's nothing to be afraid of. It's usually highly therapeutic if anything.

... For example, most of our lives we go around without being able to see the prana/chi/ or the optical illusion that makes us see all those dots in the sky, once we learn to see them, we can see them any time we want, we didn't open a chakra, we just learnt how to do it. Same with stereograms you don't see them until you start seeing them, it's not a spiritual learning, it's a mental learning, a physical one....
I tend to be in agreement with Owl on this one. Perhaps it's not very exciting, but I think that's a more accurate depiction of what's actually going on.

I wouldn't be basing my understanding of anything in life on the movies, especially not a 'supernatural horror thriller'. Movies about any topic, even the most mundane, have a way of exaggerating things beyond all semblance of reality. Real life is usually far more humdrum than anything in the movies and this is no different I'm sure.

No, I haven't been flooded with memories. I have been some- what psychic all my life, but then, I think everyone has that capacity. I think I might be more "aware" of how psychic I really am since joining the forum. I always tended to discount that part of myself. For me, it's been a journey to integrate the sum of my "parts" into a more coherent "whole". I do, of course, appreciate your concern, Tanguerra. Your past life issues are much more dramatic than mine.

My "Gifts"

I have NEVER visited anybody to be regressed or to be put into a trance (mainly because of funds) but when I was much younger, I was very cautious and somewhat leery of what I might discover.

Almost all of the gifts shown to me, have been unplanned and just happened (from OOBE's, to precognitions that saved my life, to knowing when someone would call on the telephone or visit me or I would see them while I was out of the house).

The above are some of the "Gifts" I seem to have, and if there are any more, I wait with "baited" breath for them to appear, at first, I was concerned what other people might say about them, now I just keep my mouth shut and accept these "Gifts" as they come along, I remain amazed at what might come along next!!!

I'm just being full of humor, but the Dog's/Horses/Lottery results have NOT come along yet (and probably never will.) ;)

Now let me lay down for a spell and get off these legs!!!

I find your posts thoughtful, compassionate and insightful.

I have learned over the years that we have many more senses than five (six). The ancient Egyptians and Chinese Monks knew this and used them. Priests, Monks and priestesses were taught - through out their life how to use them, and always for the betterment of mankind. Religion it seems to me, (and I love studying religions from around the world) has gotten in the way of the original intent of ritual, meditation and prayer. There is an INNER source that our generation is now aware of...but ill-informed on how to use them.

Next time you see the inner eye (6th sense) bring the energy down to your heart center - then back up to your inner eye, be open to the light and go....within. By that I mean enter into the light.

Thank you, Deborah. As ever, your encouragement was kind and insightful. I will let go of the "fear" and see what happens. I'm reading "Journey of Souls" right now. I think Newton and Weiss are in agreement that fear is the biggest obstacle to spiritual development. You mentioned something similar in a recent post. I am sending you a smile.

Hi all,

I have been reading this forum for a couple years and signed up to post on the thread re/ faces during meditation and thought I'd swing by this thread for an interesting read before posting in the other thread. Hahah! I am looking forward to having my third eye open some more since joining and now, posting.

I wanted to actually post b/c for a couple years I have had the faces pop in as soon as I close my eyes to meditate. It was so helpful when I read that others had a similar experience so I wanted to chime in in case it will help others, too. So yes - as soon as I settle to sit and close eyes, my "imagination" or my mind's eye sees something akin to a photograph of a face. All different kinds of faces, ages, races. Once I even saw a sort of shaggy headed Neanderthal like fella. And sometimes they seem to move a bit like they are startled to be seen - as if they are posing for a picture and someone appears to be looking at them. Perhaps I am the ghost in this scenario!?!

I also regularly see a pulsing violet/indigo light during meditation. It takes a while of sitting before I settle into a quietude that brings the pulsing light. It even comes with the eyes open - seems that if the vibration inside is in synch then that is when the pulsation occurs.

Just wanted to share ... thank you all so much for sharing as well. Very very helpful!

And thank you Carol for your wonderful books and links and all of you, too. So nice to be able to access all this info!

Welcome to the forum. That's interesting about the faces. Do you get any feelings about who they might be? Maybe someone you knew from past lives? Maybe they were how you looked in previous lives? This also sounds like you may have a lot of psychic or intuitive ability. That's very common in this forum also. Here is another forum you may want to look at. Many people in that forum also have past live memories, etc.

Welcome to the forum, Gem. Most of us here are quite open minded. The violet light you see is interesting. Do you have any idea of what that's about?

Hi and thanks Argonne and Briar. I have no clue what the pulsating light is, but other meditators report swirling colors and so forth. For me the pulsation comes when I seem to get into a certain state of vibration or calm non thinking. As soon as I say to myself, "ooh the light" it stops =).

Thanks for the link to the dog experiments. Who knows what they are perceiving! Certainly completely different stuff from what we perceive. Dogs supposedly often see or react to spirit, too, right?

I have had one past life regression and when my loved one came to escort me around the hall of records it was my beloved dog from childhood who came. It was really quite wonderful.

That's really sweet, about your dog acting as your guide, Gem. I don't have pets, but they seem to give the purest love of all.

I did some research on the pulsing violet light during meditation. Somehow, I feel that it's important for you to relax at the point where you see the light, and just "go with it", instead of reacting. I see elusive things during meditation also, so I know it's difficult to do, but I think the light is important.

BriarRose you are right that the trick is to just go with it and not analyse. There is the challenge! To not make a big deal out of it all and to just listen, witness, be with what is happening and allow it to unfold without reaction. I am amazed hearing on this forum how parents can do this with their children's info. It is so jarring sometimes to connect with spirit world - "Am I really hearing this or what?" and then the flow stops. So. Interesting!

One of my personal favorite topics, I've done a lot of research and activating it. The key is to keep it open. There are a lot aid ways to activate it, and more scary is there are just as many ways to deactivate it. If you want true progression in your own life, true happiness and understanding you want to keep it open.

It is what unlocks our true potentials, as well as our natrual born powers and abilities!!! The way scoscieties are now, they teach their children that people are evil and cannot be trusted, so we close ourselves off... This is the only reason anyone has ever felt lonly, and everyone has felt it!!! Correct? This is when we start lying to ourselves and others, and we turn into people we were never meant to be!!!

1. How to keep it opened/ develope this beautiful organ in your brain.

First detoxifie your body and purifie with fruits, vegetables and organic only, gmo's or genetically modified organically WILL wreak havoc on your body... Why do you think we have so much cancer running rampant hmmm.

2 develope it through meditations, beginners can go on YouTube and type in anything they want to improve on and find a guided meditation for it. More expiriences meditators, can take the words and use them how they see fit!!! Examples, inner strength, forgiveness, the reduction of stress, loveing your own apearence, the list is endless.

3 hidden powers!!! Not everyone has the same abilities but I believe you can learn them all through developing this thins eye.

Astral projection, seeing auras, moveing chi or reiki, telepathy, telakanisis, simply by talking to someone who naturally knows and can make it easier for you to do the same. But all of these things come frome the same place, I'm sure we haven't even scratched the surface of our capabilities but I can certainly say it seems more people are awakening themselves to this natural process of learning ourselves!!! Remember MEDITATION, MEDITATION, MEDITATION, it's very simple and meditation can be as short and effective at 5 to 10 minutes a day!!! Remember that thirty minute episode of sex in the city that truly disappointed you, remember that hour of black ops2 that enraged you cause you couldn't pay anyone to help cap a flag, or headquarters. You could have meditated and improved you day in a quarter of the time :) ... I don't watch tv btw if it was longer than 30 min I appaulagize. I have a large destain for tv, almost a hatred for it actually. I'm 25 and haven't watched tv since I was a teen, couldn't tell you why though I'm not entirely sure.

Your recommendations are right on track, Pyro. We would all benefit from those things. I think falling asleep with the television on was the most harmful practice for me. It's hard to sleep well, much less open a "third eye", with that kind of noise in the background. I do watch TV, but try to be selective in what I watch, and of course, go to sleep in a more natural way. What started you on your spiritual path?

Ah that's an exellant question. It all started with an expirience that I can't really say on this forum cause it would be removed. But I can give you small details that lead me into the journey itself. My wife and I were with a couple of very good friends, and I saw things that were very wild to me but at the same time very familiar and natural. The ones I can talk about were things like auras with very vivid colors, I could see my friends emotions, and much more. This was appealing to me so I decided to do my research on why I could see these things in that instance. My very first descovery was the pineal gland "wich I later found out was the third eye." - also the reason it's my favorite subject. I learned so much about this gland it made me yern for more knowledge. What's funny about that is I haven't had to search for more information, after that all the information has come to me. Another good friend of mine told me about chakras and gave me a yoga video explaining all of them. Chakras being the points of dispersal of energy through out the body. And these centers control different things as well. Then reiki found me. The ability to channel these energies inside the body through the chakras with intent to heal or regulate body functions, as well as external use to heal or regulate someone else's body. This I have validation of because my friends have told me they can feel me moveing there energies. Then this site litterally just popped up on my screen and I figured hey my guides haven't let me down so far, so I signed up. I've done all of this to try and re expierience everything I did with my wife and friends. And for the most part I have! I've seen auras again. "Not in color yet". I can feel where my daughter is and what she is doing without being in the same room. I've even gotten more out of this spiritual journey simply because through everything I've learned and practiced I have a stronger connection to people, my wife, my daughter, and with my spirit guides and spiritual realm. It's litterally tangeable to me, something I can touch and know it exists. Remember that night we were talking about seeing auras in the moon? It wasn't just a coincidence, that I saw the moon aura in color and you went outside to see beautiful petals around the moon! If you can see auras in that manner I can say your third eye is very much open and active. I certainly busted out on the scene and provided any fresh info I have and I've been accepting all information here with an open mind. These are all the reasons I will stay on this journey and continue moveing forward with a group of people I trust will keep me in the right direction. It's very poetic when I think about it these past three months have impacted me so strongly.

Love and peace :)

Thank you for your post, Pyro. I'm glad that your spiritual path is bringing happiness for you. I think there is something in what you say. I wouldn't have gone out to look at the moon without your post, and it was a beautiful experience. Thank you for that! My husband is getting tired of watching me "play" with my aura while he watches television, but it is a lot more interesting than TV programming!
