What if all reincarnation suddenly stopped?

What if all reincarnation, everyone, everywhere, all at once, just stopped? Would there be a globe a full of stillborns? Would everyone be mentally challenged? Would there be no effect at all? If Spirit could stop it all, and we would notice, then they could say "told you so". Until then we just don't know what a soul brings to our existence.

Of course if we need one, then all scientists have missed something major for the last several thousand years. We would have to be retaught what we actually have always been.

Then the evolution of consciousness (soul if you will) would cease to exist. This will actually take place trillions of trillions of years from now when the physical universe comes to an end by the big freeze. As all existing stars are at present expanding away from each other to the point that if we were to exist then we would not see their light even within our own Milkyway galaxy. As this happens all stars will run out of fuel and cease to shine, the universe will slowly and inexorably will grow darker and cold. Eventually black holes will dominate the universe which themselves will disappear over time as they emit radiation over infinite time. There will be at that point nothing within our physical universe except blackness and an empty void. All the souls that have not reach enlightenment at that point will be drawn up into the causal dimension (soul plane if you will) which exists beyond time, space and matter and put into a cosmic sleep if you will. The lower worlds including our physical universe will be in that state of nothingness for the duration of creation at which point another big bang will occur and the process starts all over again.

At least this is how I understand it anyway. So, in a way the process of reincarnation will stop at least for a while on a cosmic scale. As the whole universe goes thru its cycle of birth and death.
