Roger Woolger has an interesting web-page where he talks about the Deep Memory Process.
What is Deep Memory Process?

Deep Memory Process (DMP for short) is a creative therapeutic synthesis of active imagination, hypnotic regression, psychodramatic role play, various body therapies and transpersonal psychologies. It was developed by Roger J. Woolger, Ph.D from many years of intensive practice with the methods of Jung, Reich and various shamanic and spiritual traditions
Has anyone taken the time to review his work?
I find his body chart interesting and I see correlations between the work of Gregg Braden and Woolger. It illustrates the affects of thoughts, feelings and emotions in relationship to the body. Has anyone done gone through the Deep Memory Process?

The page can be viewed HERE.

I haven't ever done this, but it looks fascinating. I think I'll look into this more...thank you, Deborah!

Yes, please, if anyone has tried this, do tell.

Body work is very important and some my my own experiences have come about doing it. I will dig up an older thread - I think it is called -- The Body remembers. Physical, emotional and ethereal bodies included. ;)

really nice page and intersting the questions at the beginning really hit home. I think you found my mornings reading material : P

contributor to Woolger's insights

The author may be considered "anathema" here, but I just got the Sounds True 6 tape collection called: (not listened to yet)

The Transpersonal Vision: The Healing Potential of Nonordinary States of Consciousness (Audio Cassette)
by Stanislav Grof

But Grof has contributed to Woolger's understanding significantly according to Roger's books and tapes... ...for less than $25 including shipping.

Here is an Amazon link, but it can be dl'ed from Audible also.

Has anyone who has tried meditating in order to experience a past life - and not been successful, tried body work? One of the points as indicated in his article - is that the body remembers.

I am reading Woolger's book Other Lives, Other Selves now and it is very good for the most part. He is deeply influenced by Jung, who I have also been reading and who is also very good. I have not experienced the deep memory process yet, to tell the truth I am a little bit afraid of it, but I have been doing some body work (structural integration therapy) and it aroused some feelings that may have been past life related. At one point I had a definite feeling of having my hands bound which I can connect with a past life event that was none too pleasant.

HI Lonewolf,

Sorry to be so long getting back to you. The book you mentioned was written in 1988 - he has since - written several others.

I am interested in anything you care to share - or your thoughts on what he has written.

Thanks for posting!

it is only possible to free oneself from a trauma by recalling it.

At times there are painful and sometimes even shameful aspects of the self which will have to be confronted. Roger Woolger says this is the elaboration of the shadow, in the Jungian perspective, which means that one must face these negative and unpleasant characteristics and not to further repress them.

Although I didn't have the opportunity to experience his Deep Memory Process while I was trying to heal, I did find his insights of great help in my own healing process-during the last stage of it.

He's right.

You can't free yourself of anything from your past until you recall it. And face it.

You have to look into the abyss, and recognize what's looking back at you. Not something that most people want to do. I spent a lot of time gazing into the abyss, but I refused to recognize anything in what was looking back out of it.

And you have to be totally honest with yourself, facing all of the aspects of yourself that nobody wants to face. For me, it was facing up to being a Gutless Wonder who couldn't stand up to bullying.

Until I did that, I couldn't heal from it and move forward, I was still stuck in the old pattern of wimping out in the face of bullying. In spite of the fact that I hate it.

Kudos, to Dr. Woolger. I have only read one of his books, Healing your Past Lives, which was exactly the one I needed to read at the time.

Thanks to his insights on healing, I was able to identify and get rid of that creamy nougaty layer of Gutless Wonder, and the white-hot lava core inside it, that have been causing me problems for a very long time.

Healing your past lives

I am currently reading Healing Your Past lives by Roger Woolger and every time I pick it up it is really easy to get into, its an excellent book so far (only had time to get to the second chapter, just recently bought it.) I listened to a couple mins of the cd that comes with it (5 tracks, each a different guided session, and they go (lengths) from 9 mins to 26 mins. and he has a really soothing voice and from what I heard it sounds pretty cool.

Just Finished Reading Healing Your Past Lives!

I just finished! It is an amazing book, even if you don't remember any past lives, this book covers a lot in almost 80 pages! It was never boring to me at all. Deep Memory Process is amazing! I haven't had the time to try it yet, but it sounds awesome!!! I STRONGLY recommend buying/reading this book to anyone!!!

I have this book. Have you tried the CD yet? I've been using it for a while now with pretty good results. To start with I didn't get the results I was looking for but after getting used to it I really like it very much.

No, I actually haven't had a chance to use it yet, I'm actually kind of nervous about using it. I did listen to part of the 3rd track, but then I didn't have much time, and turned it off. I might try to use it later tonight or tomorrow. I am reading Carol's Return From Heaven, now and I like how both she and Roger Woolger write, I can really get into the book, which is really hard with non-fiction for me. Did it work the first couple of times?

Hi Phoenix, Mejensen1 and VanH :)

Thanks to you, I have discovered Dr. Woolger's "Past Life Therapy": that is exactly what I needed for my own PL-regression!

Kind regards,
Axel :)

Hi Aili! You can find my experiences in the threads "Over There" and "Siberian Woman" both in the past life regression section.

Hi Axel. Glad we could help, good luck with your regression!

I would like to thank Deborah and all the other members who provided information about DMP.

Best wishes,
VanH.

Hello

I find this forum amazing.. I am in a bit of a rut myself with an anxiety based problem, that I am sure stems from one or two incidences when I was younger (around 1 or so),but i have no actual real memory of the occurences I do know they limit me when I go to different places away from home.

Has anybody seen or dealt with such a case and where do I start??

Many thanks,...

Hi hansel,

Welcome to the forum.

I would recommend seeking a therapist in your area if your anxiety is causing you distress and/or restricting your ability to function at a “normal” level.

Since yours is a present day issue and not past life related, I cannot recommend any resources for health professionals, however I’m certain your General Practitioner will be able to assisit you in making some recommendations.

Best of luck,

Ailish

Hi,

In the first post you will see the same as below -------

The page can be viewed HERE.

nope, but deep memory is an interesting process. I have learned that memories can be triggered by pretty much anything from an object, scent, color, or even the lighting in a room. It is almost as if we unwittingly store memories in our environment that are triggered at certain times. I've found out with studying and things like that these sensitivities come in handy, to remember certain things take a glance around the room you're in and concentrate on that periodically while doing the reading or type of studying, I've found that forgotten details pop back up randomly when you're doing something unrelated then you concentrate on them more when you don't have anything down to write them down on or your studying things with you. I've

noticed the same pattern in many prerecognitive dreams, there's always an object in the background or something like that and when the thing happens making the dream flash back those objects stick out even more.

The link above shows the diagram with explanations. I have found it to be very useful.

Any one care to post thoughts? Reflections? Experiences?

An older thread that might be of interest to some. It illustrates the affects of thoughts, feelings and emotions in relationship to the body. I also believe that our thoughts, feelings and emotions...lead us to the next life time. Who our parents are, where we are born, and our circumstances.

In Roger Woolger's honor........

I am currently reading 'Healing Your Past Lives' for the first time, and am greatly enjoying it. I love how he breaks down the different patterns that can emerge from your PL's...I have not yet listened to the CD, but am looking forward to doing so!!

Deborah, that is a very good diagram, thanks for posting it!
